Archive for 'Engagements'

Every once in a while, a couple comes a long that amazes you. This was one such couple.

For the past year, Shaun has been on deployment, so when we did this shoot 3 days after he returned, it was quite possibly the most passionate, emotional engagement session i’ve  had the pleasure of shooting. One of my favorite parts of this session was getting to return to the very place in Estes Park where Shaun told Nicolle for the very first time, that he loved her. I could say more about these two, but I think the pictures say it better!

It’s a rarity to find a love and connection as beautiful as Julia and Steven share. I had the privilege to experience their connection first hand on their Downtown Denver Engagement session and WOW, did it bring a never ending smile to my face. I truly feel blessed to capture their Wedding the end of the month.

And a huge thanks to my friend Daylene Wilson for bringing your creative energy to this shoot!

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this,
in which there is no I or you,so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand,
so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”

-Pablo Neruda

Today, Felicia and Jorge tie the knot… This couple truly shares a beautiful, passionate with one another. Congratulations my friends.

Shoots this this one don’t make an appearance very often. It’s is very rare to find a couple so open to ideas that they will let you take them out in a torrential down pour, put on their happy faces and let their love shine through. These are my favorite sessions. We had the worst conditions people could ask for, heavy rain, winds, hail ( we were rocking it out in a parking garage) but through it all, it was nothing short of amazing. Having some of the best clients ever who trust your vision so much is an incredible feeling.

I’m a little strange seeing that climatic weather is my favorite situations to shoot under. It allows for an amazing challenge, and different views. Yes, shooting during the golden hours is still amazing, but a lot of time, people forget just how incredible something like rain storm can be. The unique emotions that surface, trying new and different things that wouldn’t be possible under “Ideal” circumstances. I’m in love.

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
